Monday Motivation!

motovatin scripture springHappy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend, and a chance to enjoy some early Spring weather! I felt like a weekend warrior this weekend (lol), and tackled my jungle of a backyard on Sunday, and I must say it left me feeling pretty good about getting it done. My #motovationmonday theme for this week is all about getting things done! Do you ever feel like there are things on your to-do list that you want to accomplish, but they always seem to get pushed to the back burner for more pressing matters? Well, I decided this week to really focus on the things that I want to get done, or get back to.  Like getting back to sewing, updating my blog more consistently, leaving myself enough time to  drive comfortably without rushing (I saw a horrible accident right in front of my eyes on the highway this weekend that left me stunned, and shaken), doing more projects around the house( my backyard :), spring cleaning, refreshing, etc.. all of those and plenty more! My point here is that there’s no better feeling than getting things done through, time, effort, and a little self-discipline. The feeling of accomplishment is incredible, and it keeps you motivated to do more. Have a great week everyone, and stay motivated to do all of the things you want to get done! I luvufearlessly!

gorgeous insideHappy Monday everyone! When I was out for a run the other day I saw this for sale sign in the neighborhood, it made me think am I gorgeous inside? This is what I came up with! #Motivationmonday  I’m no longer willing to sacrifice my body for a cupcake and an extra bag of chips, or for my mind to be used as the devil’s playground, my time to be wasted by others, my spirit to be sucked out of me like a straw, and for my ideas to be disregarded as unimportant or invalid! Today I stand for me and for the God who created and loves me, and wants to know about all things that matter to me! God is the best thing I got going how about you??  To sit back and not rest in that truth and use that power to its fullest capacity would be criminal and dumb. Are you Gorgeous Inside or for Sale to whoever is willing to buy?

The Road less Traveled

road traveled-1Most of us are familiar with going the road less traveled. Sometimes walking this road is required for personal growth, a closer walk with God and to build confidence.  Do not be afraid of walking this road alone, understanding that God may have you traveling this way by divine appointment through his perfect will for your life.  Sometimes he has to  bring us into isolation in order for us to increase in our reliance upon him. God desires for us to know who he is in a real way , without the distractions, confusion, and voices of others.  Even though it may seem scary trust in this process and know that you are never alone, God is always near and he  loves you. Rely upon him in those moments alone, and do not be discouraged  at how sparse  the road is… sometimes there may be very few people walking this path with you, remember to trust in God  he and he alone will direct thy path.

Isaiah 35:8
And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness; it will be for those who walk on that Way. The unclean will not journey on it; wicked fools will not go about on it.

The Narrow Gate Matthew 7:13
13“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. 14“For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Faith…I Believe

Something to consider

too blessedEveryday most of us are consumed with the injustices and sorrows that life brings. Every time you turn around bad things are happening, unspeakable tragedies, human kindness fleeting, leaving many of us to struggle alone (even when there are people around) looking for answers to the things we just don’t understand. Unfair as it all may seem make no mistake that God is in control. It’s not our job to fix things or fix people our job is to Live and to enjoy the life God has provided us, be glad and rejoice for our days are numbered and our time here is short….Have Faith…Believe

Ecclesiastes 6:12
For who knows what is good for a person in life, during the few and meaningless days they pass through like a shadow? Who can tell them what will happen under the sun after they are gone?

Ecclesiastes 7:15
In this meaningless life of mine I have seen both of these: the righteous perishing in their righteousness, and the wicked living long in their wickedness.

Ecclesiastes 2:24
A person can do nothing better than to eat and drink and find satisfaction in their own toil. This too, I see, is from the hand of God,

Ecclesiastes 5:19
Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil–this is a gift of God.

Ecclesiastes 8:15
So I commend the enjoyment of life, because there is nothing better for a person under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany them in their toil all the days of the life God has given them under the sun.

God’s Mercy is Real!

scripture2Psalm 28 Unto thee will I cry, O Lord my rock: be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.

I cried out to God recently, I said a lot of things, One of the things that comes to mind in my cry was “God I’m so tired of  my feet dangling over the pit” Sometimes we need a little reprieve from the storm just to breathe..I don’t need my way I need Gods way because his way is the best way for me.  Our merciful gracious perfect God led me right to this scripture in Psalm 28 I didn’t even know this scripture existed!!  This scripture  spoke exactly to what I needed to hear from him. I need God’s help on a regular basis, sometimes by the second! In my time of need all I can manage to squeeze out are the words lord HELP!!!  Now when God leads me back to his life-giving word in scripture like that giving me hope showing me his power … I’m like WHOA I believe!! Thank you lord for letting me know just how real your love & faithfulness are to me. No, tricks, no ulterior motives, no games just love!!  My lord, My God thank you for your son Jesus and thank you for your mercy!

Less Religion more God!!

sunsetHave you ever heard the expression don’t lose your religion over it? Well in my opinion we could all stand to have a little less religion and a lot more faith in God! Faith is a personal thing, It’s a relationship between you and God no fancy church with an amazing pastor…just you and your creator.  God alone will light the path and lead the way to life for those who rely and depend upon him…sounds simple but honestly quite difficult to do.  Through this journey I’m learning to tame the distractions that toss me to & fro like… feelings, emotions even people with good or bad intentions. Having faith and belief that God alone will guide me to his best is something that I’m learning to do daily. I’m also learning with God’s help how to silence the noise that leads me astray, this is something that I definitely need help with. As long as I put my total trust in him, God will strengthen me where I am weak.  Often times religion gives you a false sense of who God is or what God is to you.  Listen to the one who created you to get the answers that you need!! God knows that we need help in the natural, so he places his faithful servants in life’s path to help us along the way.  Always trust that inner voice inside that comes from our lord & savior, be sure to ask him for his help to guide you in discerning  the difference.  Have Faith and Believe!!!
